Joining the FGBC
Why Should I Join?
- You have a voice - by representation through the Association with all levels of government and their enforcement agencies.
- Your views count - through industry surveys, regional and annual general meetings, you have the opportunity to ensure your views are addressed or represented.
- Government Liasion - you have access to representatives who stay briefed on existing and proposed policy and regulatory issues, so you do not have to take time away from your business to address government policy issues, media coverage, law enforcement activities, product and service offers, lobbying efforts and advertisements from suppliers. Through this web site we provide clarification and discussion of government regulations in the "members only" section.
- You are informed - you get "insider" access to information, government policies and direct contact with governing bodies through the private portion of this web site. There are new techniques and supplier information available. You can place ads with photos on this site where fellow members can scan those ads.
- Savings - The Association has arranged for group rates of Natural Gas supply and insurance brokerage benefits for property, content, disability and dental coverage.
- Because of the FGBC's link with the Canadian Restaurant and Foodservices Association (CRFA)You get some significant savings. The advantageous card rates alone make it worthwhile to become a member.
How to Join
If you are a Ubrew or Uvint shop owner, you can learn more about joinging the Association by contacting the FGBC office or by completing the application form and sending it by email, or print out the form and mail it with your cheque for the appropriate amount to the FGBC office.
Our office staff will contact you to welcome you as a new member and to answer any particular questions you may have. You will be assigned a login name and password to access the members' portion of the website.
We strongly recommend that our members familiarize themselves with the Provincial and Federal legislation governing this industry. An "understanding of compliance" is of the utmost importance both for our relationship with government agencies and to serve our customers properly.
After You Join
You will receive an information kit with copies of government regulations, our Constitution and Bylaws, an identity and password to the private portion of this website, newsletters, important notices, benefits package details and a FGBC store window decal.
